I made a little program to make easier to edit the colour.conf file.
I hope someone find it useful.

http://crimsonfan.altervista.org/gate88/coloreditor.exe

Advices and comment welcome.
The program is for M$ Windows, but most probably it works via Wine in Linux.

Link is clickable now...

Thanks everyone... smile.gif

A little help file.
Installation
-Copy the .exe in the game folder.

Uninstallation
-Delete that file.
(I think Windows could be a really better operating system if every programmer made installation/unstallation so easy... What do you think?)

Use,
start the exe and click (via Keyboard does not work.. dunno why) on the color you want to change.
Clicking the ... button the Windows color panel will appear.
You can change the hex code of the color in the input field, and the last float number in the top input. After you editied this fiels you need to click the button update to save.

Usin Test will start the game in color test mode but wont save. Clicking save will save the new colour.conf file.

For safety the program make a colour.conf.bak file everytime this file doesn't exists. So usually this file contains the original colors.

Btw, I registred biggrin.gif

What Cup of Squirrels mean?

Scite exists also for Windows, moreover Gate88 goes too slow in my Linux installation...

If you mean the first post, then I said a naughty word and Kiyobi pwned me.

If you mean the second post, then I meant .exes are better than notepad. Except for HTML.

I use Feodora Core, most probably it is a problem with video drivers. It seems my Xserver don't like them...
